Monica Alexander, Founder and CEO of Veteran EV Charging LLC (VEVC), an energetic leader committed to decreasing energy burdens on the grid while creating local jobs for commonly overlooked community members.
Monica was born and raised in Detroit, MI. She has over 33 years of experience blazing nontraditional trails, including serving 15 years in the US Coast Guard. Monica is a servant leader dedicated to community social work, entrepreneurship, and volunteerism. In 2016 Monica returned to her hometown of Detroit to assist her siblings in the care of their mother. While on a walk with her mother, she noticed a dangling power line, reminding her of a valuable lesson Inspired by local "Just Look Up" energy infrastructure commercials from her childhood.
Monica's goal is to provide large-scale energy production within a smaller real estate footprint through VEVC's power on demand systems and electric vehicle charging units, powered by on and off-grid resources. Monica is poised to make a significant impact in the nation's energy conservation and generation industry.
Lynn Wiggins
Chief Development Officer
Lynn Roosevelt Wiggins was born in Ann Arbor, MI and raised in Detroit, MI. As a 4th generation Detroiter he’s spent the past 20 years focused on local & national politics, workforce development, public policy and sales; working in marketing, government and with non-profit agencies (particularly dealing with youth, formerly incarcerated and adult job seekers) in Florida, the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Nevada and Michigan.
His organizing career began in February 2011 during an intensive four-month fellowship program The Organizing and Leadership Academy (TOLA) where he received hands-on instruction regarding organizing and leadership from some of the sharpest minds in local, state and national politics.
After completing his Organizing Fellowship with TOLA, Lynn briefly returned to his hometown of Detroit, Michigan, before traveling the country and working on over 50+ projects over the past 10 years with a 75% success rate.
Lynn returned to Detroit home 5 years ago and began working on multiple projects to help aid the city’s on-going renaissance.
